Cow Roast

20 Feb

No, this isn’t about an alternative hog roast. This, would you believe, is the name of a village.

AMAZING.

It was also an amazing day for a road trip with the crazy Dawkinses, who were the discoverers of this legendary village. It was raining quite a lot, and our shoes leaked. Win.

What is in Cow Roast? A pub specialising in Thai food. A bridge. A lock:

… a thrilling used car showroom:

and…

No, that was it. There’s nothing in Cow Roast, not even a millennium project. But it’s in the Borough of Dacorum, so it’s got to be worth living there just for the name – right?

I *do* look enthralled by the car lot.
Love me some Cow Roast. I was telling someone about our millennium project project yesterday, and she suggested we turn it into a book… THAT would be cool.

Cow Roast sounds like a place that ought to serve up some serious barbecue! :)
